Pre-Requisites: None
Course Information: The a.m. session will introduce the student to the National Incident Management System (NIMS).
After completing IS-700 the student will be able to describe NIMS concepts and principles and identify NIMS components. The program will show the student how NIMS will help coordinate/integrate the response to a domestic incident or event.
The p.m. session will provide training on and resources for personnel who require a basic understanding of the Incident Command System (IS-100).
The target audience for these programs include personnel who will be involved with emergency planning, response or recovery efforts.
Student enrollment is limited to 30. Pre-registration is required and no one will be admitted without pre-registration. Pre-registration can be accomplished by completing the attached form and returning it to the Fire Bureau (hand deliver, mail or FAX to 753-3867). The deadline for registration is May 25th.
