"Dumb" TrackerI call this "dumb tracker" mode... when a GPS is plugged into the radio port, it will transmit raw GPS position packets every 90 seconds. When the GPS is unplugged, it continues to transmit position, but only every 20 minutes.The Beacon Text (BT) is transmitted every 30 minutes. The text after the ">" is the text that will appear on APRS clients. The GPSLV is the symbol for "pickup truck" and will appear on APRS client screens. Portable/Temporary DigipeaterHere is the setup text that can be used to set up a temporary Wide-Relay-Trace digipeater. Unless you are truly in a location where you are a "wide" digipeater, stick to simply digipeating "relay" packets only.The Kantronics KPC-3+ will support WIDEn-n digipeating, e.g. if your TNC receives a packet that says "WIDE3-3", it will re-transmit that packet, and automatically adjust the outgoing packet to WIDE3-2.
